Canadian Immigrant
Nick Noorani founded the Canadian Immigrant magazine in 2004, as a follow-up to this book Arrival Survival Canada. Now owned by Star Media Group, Nick remains the founding publisher and voice of the magazine. His award-winning “Publisher’s Note” remains the most popular feature of the magazine.

Canadian Immigrant magazine is a monthly print publication distributed in Vancouver and Toronto. Its accompanying website (www.canadianimmigrant.ca) takes the magazine’s reach to a national and international audience.

The magazine content is comprised of successful immigrant profiles; columns from experts in fields such as banking, employment and parenting; and stories of personal triumph. Its mission is to “inform, educate and motivate” every immigrant, whether they are planning to immigrate, are new to the country and are going through the settlement process or are longstanding members of Canada.

Special online magazine features include its Ask the Experts, Job Board, Schoolfinder and Homefinder tools. Nick remains in regular dialogue with his readers as the main expert featured in Ask the Experts.

A recent addition to the Canadian Immigrant family is Immigrantnetworks.ca, a networking site Nick developed to connect immigrants across Canada. As well, Nick spearheaded the successful Top 25 Canadian Immigrants of 2009 campaign, which received national and international attention.
